The first year of the Bridgeport Challenge is in the books.  The Central Hilltoppers have been crowned the first All Sports Champions.

All three schools won Challenges during the school year, Bassick won both the Boys and Girls Volleyball titles, Harding won Football and Boys Basketball.  Central ended up winning four of the Challenges in Boys Soccer, Girls Basketball, Softball and Baseball to secure the All Sports win.

(5-27-15) Bassick remained undefeated (4-0) to finish as the Bridgeport Challenge Boys Volleyball Champs.  The Lions knocked off the Hilltoppers in 3 games (25-13, 25-13, 25-19).  Central finishes the Challenge at 0-4.
MVP for the match was Bassick’s David Masala  who had 19 service points with 4 aces and 4 kills.  Helping the Lions in the win were Joel Richards  with  7 kills and Sachim Manning  who added. 6 kills
Boys Volleyball is the final competition in the Bridgeport Challenge for this school year.

(5-12-15) Harding clinched second place in the Bridgeport Challenge with a 3-0 win over Central. The Presidents end the Challenge at 2-2, while Central is 0-3 and has a match remaining with Challenge Champions Bassick.

Harding was led by Jerome Laurel who had 8 kills, 20 service points and two digs.  Tavari Davis helped out with six kills, six blocks and 5 assists and Marquest Ranger added 15 assists and 11 digs.

(5-8-15) Bassick clinched the Bridgeport Challenge Boys Volleyball Title with a 3-1 win over Harding. The Lions only have one game remaining in the Challenge and remain undefeated; meanwhile both Central and Harding have two losses.

Bassick was led by Match MVP Sachin Manning who had 14 kills and 4 blocks. Manning was helped out by teammates David Masala who had 14 service points and 12 assists and Joel Richards added 8 kills.

Harding was led by Tavari Davis who had13 kills, 3 aces, 2 blocks and 2 digs. The Presidents are 1-2 in the Challenge.
